4th class visited the library for a presentation during Science Week and enjoyed learning about climate change and how to look after our environment.

Incredible Edibles Update

On Tuesday 24th September the current 4th class attended a VIP trip to Country Crest Farm, Lusk, Co Dublin as part of their prize from Incredible Edibles Programme last year.  They came second in the country out of over 1,300 participating schools which was an outstanding achievement.  The tour allowed the children to see the cattle and the land where the potatoes and other produce are grown and harvested for sale in Tesco and other supermarkets around the country.  They also viewed a mini educational power-point presentation as well as a large windmill and were in deep discussions with the knowledgeable farmers on hand to answer questions.  The finale was a beautiful lunch including treats where there was a presentation of the greenhouse for our school for future gardening projects.  It was a very enjoyable and well organised day.  Well done 4th Class.
